Mayo students visit Leinster House

DEPUTY Keira Keogh was proud to welcome a group of students from Coláiste Pobail Acla to Leinster House today for a guided tour and an opportunity to experience the heart of Irish democracy in action.

The students were accompanied by their teachers Mairead O’Reilly and Jason Mangan as they explored the historic buildings, visited the Dáil and Seanad Chambers, and learned more about the day-to-day workings of national politics.

Speaking about the visit, Deputy Keogh said: “It was a real pleasure to welcome students from Coláiste Pobail Acla to Leinster House.

“Engaging young people in the democratic process is more important than ever, and I hope today has sparked a lasting interest in how decisions are made and how they can play a role in shaping their communities and their country.”
