Mayo gardaí clock car travelling at 193km/h

A motorist detected travelling at almost double the national speed limit by gardaí in Mayo will face a court prosecution.

Members of An Garda Síochána were on patrol on the N5 last Thursday night when they detected a car being driven at 193km/h in a 100km/h area.

The driver was stopped and will now have a court appearance in the future.
