Retail investment planned for Mayo town centre derelict site

A new commercial investment is planned for a derelict site in Castlebar town centre.

A local firm, Jackita Limited, has indicated its intention to seek planning permission for the development at Market Street.

The proposal consists of the demolition of a derelict site at and construction of a new mixed-used building comprising of a retail unit at ground flood level and two apartments on the second floor.

The planning application has been drafted by Armstrong Reape Architectural Services, Linenhall Street, Castlebar.
