Mayo garda retires after 42 years service

HAVING served the public for more than four decades, Mayo Garda Tom Fleming is retiring.

He signed in at Partry Garda Station for the last time today after 42 years of dedicated service with An Garda Síochána.

Tom was admired by his colleagues and was an integral part of the community in Partry and Tourmakeady and will be missed by many.

“Thank you Tom for your friendship and service to us all and we wish you a happy and fulfilling retirement,” was the message from colleagues on the An Garda Síochána Mayo Facebook page.
