Woman (40s) dies after being struck by car in Co Wexford

A woman, aged in her 40s, has died after being struck by a car in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford on Saturday.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of the collision, which occurred on the R702 at Curraghgraigue, Enniscorthy, at approximately 3pm on Saturday.

The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 40s, was taken to Wexford General Hospital for treatment of serious injuries on Saturday, but has since passed away from her injuries.

The male driver of the car, aged in his 20s, received medical assessment at the scene.

No other injuries were reported,

The road was closed for a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators, but has now reopened

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 2,30pm and 3.30pm Saturday, May 24th, are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
