Mayo prepare for group stages of TG4 All-Ireland LGFA Senior Championship

The stage is set for the 2025 TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Championships, with 33 counties aiming for six coveted spots at Croke Park for TG4 All-Ireland finals day on Sunday, August 3.

Mayo are competing in the senior championship and have been included in a group with Kerry, the defending champions, and Cork.

For their opening game, Mayo travel to Kerry on June 7, while two weeks later, on June 21, they will have home advantage against Cork.

Galway, who defeated Mayo in the Connacht final last Sunday, have Donegal and Tipperary for company in Group 1.

Group 3 features Armagh, Meath and Kildare, while Dublin, Waterford and Leitrim are the teams in Group 4.

TG4’s live TV schedule for the group stages of the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Championship has also been confirmed.

The Meath-Armagh clash on Saturday, June 7 (3 p.m.), will commence the live coverage, followed by the clash between Waterford and Dublin on Sunday, June 8 (1.30 p.m.).

There’s a live TV double-header pencilled in for Saturday, June 14, as Kildare host Meath at 12.45 p.m. followed by the meeting of Cork and Kerry at 2.30 p.m.

Mayo's game against Cork will feature on Saturday, June 21 (3 p.m.), when the group stages conclude. The other live TV offering that day is Tipperary v Donegal (1 p.m.).

Additionally, all senior championship ties not shown live on TG4 linear TV will be available to view on the Spórt TG4 YouTube channel, as was the case last year.

Trina Murray, LGFA president, commented: “Our 2025 TG4 provincial championships have concluded and now we’re looking forward with huge anticipation to the TG4 All-Ireland series. We celebrated the 50th anniversary of the LGFA in 2024 and now we’re on the cusp of a new and exciting era for our association and for our sport.

“I wish each county and player the very best of good luck on their summer journeys, and I thank our players most sincerely for their outstanding commitment and dedication to ladies Gaelic football.”
