Big changes to Mayo side for All-Ireland final clash
The Mayo team for the Nickey Rackard Cup final against Roscommon has been named.
Manager Ray Larkin and his selectors have made several changes to the team that lined out against Fermanagh in the final group game two weeks ago. Their place in the final had already been guaranteed by that stage.
Mayo go into the final – taking place tomorrow (Saturday) at 1 p.m. in Croke Park, Dublin – with two wins over Roscommon already this season.
They defeated the neighbours by 3-25 to 1-12 in Division 3 of the Allianz National Hurling League and by 1-21 to 1-14 in the group stages of the Nickey Rackard Cup.
Larkin and the Mayo players are taking nothing for granted, however, and expect the final to be a close encounter.
Tooreen's David Kenny will captain the Mayo team, while Conor Doyle from Tipperary has been selected to referee the final.
The game will be live streamed by Sport TG4 YouTube, with live coverage also on Midwest Radio courtesy of Stephen Grealis and Frank Brown. Tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
