Weather to remain unsettled across Mayo this week

Bank holiday Monday will start mostly dry with hazy spells of sunshine in the morning, according to the latest forecast.

MONDAY, JUNE 2

Rain will develop in western parts of the province in the afternoon and will spread eastwards, turning heavy with some spot flooding possible.

It will be windy too with strong and gusty southerly winds developing, reaching gale force in coastal areas.

Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.

There will be rain or showers each day with blustery conditions at times.

MONDAY NIGHT:

A wet start to the night with widespread rain gradually clearing into the Irish Sea.

Scattered showers and clear spells will follow behind.

Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees with westerly winds decreasing moderate to fresh.
