Quarterfinal clash for Mayo girls at Gaynor Cup today
MAYO finished top of their group at the Gaynor Cup yesterday evening in Limerick.
Two wins saw them earn the top spot despite a 2-1 loss to Kilkenny in their second game of the day.
Their opponents scored either side of the half-time break, the second goal coming from the penalty spot, with Kate McGing registering Mayo's sole reply late on.
Topping Group 5 has earned Mayo a Gaynor Cup quarterfinal place where they face DDSL, who enjoyed wins in their group over NERL, Donegal and Derry.
