Mayo bow out of Gaynor Cup at quarterfinal stage

MAYO'S bid to win the Gaynor Cup came to a halt against a talented DDSL side at the quarterfinal stage in Limerick.

The Mayo girls now enter the placements phase of the competition and are in action this morning (11 a.m.) against Wexford.

DDSL proved too strong as they progressed to the semi-finals with a 3-1 win.

They held a two-goal advantage at half-time and added another before Saoirse Reynolds, who has had a superb tournament, pulled one back for Mayo.

With the final placings to be decided, you can follow Mayo's progress on the FAI Connect app, with updates also on the SFAI Facebook page.
