Passing of retired Mayo businessman Tom Vesey is widely mourned
The death of Tom Vesey, Graffymore, Castlebar, is deeply regretted in the wider community.
He died peacefully at home after a short illness in the loving care of his family.
A popular and respected personality, he was proprietor of Vesey Precast Concrete at Graffymore until his retirement a number of years ago.
Fond tributes have been paid to him on social media where he is described as 'a true gentleman who will be greatly missed'.
Tom is survived by his heartbroken wife Imelda and son Tommy, brothers Anthony (Achill) and Martin (Achill), sisters Bernie (Collins, Castlebar) and Alice (Vesey, Mc Carthy, Achill), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.
He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Tony Vesey and his beloved son Anthony.
Interment takes place today (Monday) in Slievemore Cemetery, Achill, after Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Pollagh, Achill.
