Planning approved for 25 new homes in east Mayo town

A Part 8 planning application for 25 new homes in Ballyhaunis was adopted by councillors at the monthly Claremorris-Swinford Municipal District meeting.

The units, at Abbeyquarter, Ballyhaunis, comprise of a mixed of 12 two-bedroom houses, nine 3-bedroom houses, one 4-bedroom house, two 4-bedroom special needs houses and one 4-bedroom community dwelling.

This is phase two of the existing adjoining development.

Councillor Alma Gallagher proposed the planning report be adopted, seconded by Councillor John Caulfield.
