Showery conditions set to return as Mayo escapes thunderstorm warning
Spot flooding could be possible in some parts of the region, according to the latest forecast.
Mayo will be only one of five counties to escape a yellow thunderstorm warning which will be in place tomorrow.

THURSDAY, JUNE 12
It will be mostly cloudy to start tomorrow with scattered showers and a chance of more persistent and heavy rain in the east of the province, with spot flooding possible.
Showers will turn more frequent and heavier through the day, with potential for thunderstorms.
Highs of 17 to 19 degrees in moderate southeasterly winds.
Humid with heavy showers or longer spells of rain, along with embedded thunderstorms.
THURSDAY NIGHT:
Showers will become more isolated at first on Thursday night before further outbreaks of heavy rain spread across the country from the south with a chance of thunderstorms.
Mild and humid with temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.
Mist and fog developing also in light to moderate southeast winds.
