Mayo parish grieves passing of 'beautiful lady' Kathleen Henry

The death of Kathleen (Catherine) Henry (neé Lynch), Church Street, Charlestown, and formerly of Moatefarrell, Co. Longford, has evoked a huge sense of loss.

A widely popular personality, she died suddenly but peacefully yesterday in the care of Mayo University Hospital.

Warm tributes are being paid to her on social media where she had been described as 'a beautiful lady inside and out'.

Another tribute stated: "Kathleen was a wonderfully kind and loving lady and always a pleasure to be in her company."

Further words of condolences observed: "She was a truly lovely person and a wonderful friend who will be so sadly missed."

Kathleen is deeply regretted by her loving husband Jarlath, sisters Mary (Gaynor) and Helen, brothers Pat, Philip, Michael and Seamus, brothers-in- law, sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, to whom sympathy is tendered.

She was predeceased by her parents Denis and Brigid and brothers Denis and Con.

Kathleen will repose in the Horkan Funeral Home, Charlestown (F12D393), on Saturday from 3.30 until 6.30 p.m. with removal to St. James's Church, Charlestown, for prayers at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass on Sunday at 1.30pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
