In form Celtic advance to final four of Mayo Super Cup

Glenhest Rovers 0

Castlebar Celtic 4

CASTLEBAR CELTIC continued their scintillating form this morning with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Glenhest Rovers in the quarter-final of the Mayo Super Cup, writes Caoimhín Rowland.

Celtic were kept at bay early on and made to work for their opener, which duly came on the 20th minute through Mark Cunningham, heading home from a delectable Dylan Edwards corner.

The final 45 began in nightmare fashion for Glenhest, a Luke Kelly finish put an end to any hope of a Rovers' second half rally.

They struggled to deal with the attacking force of Dylan Felle, Lerlah Hay and the poaching skills of Kelly, who bagged a brace on the 75th minute.

Mark Cunningham netted his ninth of the season late on, piling on the misery for the hosts.

Celtic advance to the final four alongside Ballyheane FC, Westport United and Ballinrobe Town.
