Mayo Uilleann piper to play funeral of Lord Henry Mount Charles

Mayo Uilleann piper Eamonn Walsh will play at the funeral of Lord Henry Mount Charles, on Wednesday in St. Patrick’s Church of Ireland, Slane, Co. Meath.

Eamonn is a native of Ballina and is PRO of the Moy Valley branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and is also an All-Ireland Fleadh campaigner.

Eamonn has played at high profile funerals in the past, which included the late Gay Byrne’s funeral, and his wife Kathleen Watkins.

Eamonn also played at the funerals of Christy Dignam of Aslan, and poet Paul Durcan.
