Mayo County Council has announced the official signing of the contract for the development of the new Lough Lannagh Dog Park in Castlebar.
The contract has been awarded to Michael O’Malley Tarmacadam Contractors Ltd, with construction set to begin in mid-July 2025.
This purpose-built facility will provide a safe, enclosed space for dogs to exercise and socialize, while offering a welcoming environment for pet owners and families.
The park is part of the Mayo County Council’s broader initiative to enhance recreational amenities and promote outdoor wellbeing across the county.
The Lough Lannagh Dog Park will be a valuable addition to the area, encouraging responsible pet ownership and community engagement.
Completion is expected in September this year, and Mayo County Council looks forward to welcoming residents and their furry companions to this exciting new space.
