Temporary closure of section of busy Mayo greenway route

A section of the greenway between Castlebar and the National Museum of Country Life in Turlough has been temporarily closed.

Works are being carried out on the stretch between Summerfield estate in Castlebar and the former N5 Tyres at Ballynew.

It will be closed for the next two weeks until July 10 to allow for asset renewal works and essential maintenance to take place.

Mayo County Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
