'Frightening incident' as scrambler bikers drive dangerously at Mayo lake amenity
Concerns have been raised over anti-social behaviour at Lough Lannagh, Castlear, on Father’s Day when a group on scrambler bikes were seen riding around the popular lakeside amenity.
Councillor Donna Sheridan said she was contacted by gardaí after reports of the bikes being driven dangerously on the Sunday afternoon in question.
Councillor Blackie Gavin said he had personally witnessed the incident and described it as “frightening."
“This sort of behaviour is extremely intimidating and totally unacceptable,” he said.
Councillors called for a stronger gardaí presence in the town to tackle both vandalism and anti-social behaviour
Councillor Sheridan thanked to guards for being 'so quick in coming down to deal with the scramblers'.
