Carpark in Mayo town closed for surface relaying works

Road pavement works are taking place in the Foxford school/church carpark today (Tuesday) and Wednesday, July 2.

The carpark will be closed for the duration of the works, Mayo County Council has advised.

Local Councillor Neil Cruise welcomed the work and explained that it involves a full relaying of the main carpark between St. Michael's Church and Foxford National School.

While there will be no access to the main car park, there will be walking access to the playground, MUGA and teen zone via the footpath on the church side.

Councillor Cruise has been campaigning for the works for some time.
