Streets in Mayo county town getting a power wash

STREETS in Mayo's county town are gleaming as they undergo a power wash.

Power washing has commenced on streets around Castlebar, which has been warmly welcomed by Councillor Ger Deere, who is chairperson of Castlebar Tidy Towns.

Councillor Deere and several other councillors have been calling for the cleaning on a regular basis.

Photos shared by Councillor Deere show the huge difference power washing makes.

Said Councillor Deere: “Castlebar is striving to win its seventh Gold Medal in the national Tidy Towns competition and having the footpaths cleaned complements the great work Tidy Towns volunteers are carrying out around the town.”
