Road works in busy Mayo tourist village tomorrow
ROAD works will be taking place on the R-335 Westport to Louisburgh road in Murrisk village tomorrow, Friday, July 4, from 7.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Traffic management will be in place and Mayo County Council has advised motorists to expect delays.
Louisburgh Councillor Chris Maxwell has welcomed the works, stating: “I’m delighted to see work is going to be done to address the dangerous situation that has developed on the particular section of road after the recent work installing the water mains.
“Also it’s great to see the work being done on the L-1801 coast road at Belclare in Westport - another dangerous section of road.
“Work will continue there until tomorrow evening with traffic management in place.”
