Celtic crush Conn Rangers in Mayo Super League
Conn Rangers 1
Castlebar Celtic 9
Castlebar Celtic took another emphatic step toward Super League glory with a devastating 9-1 win over Conn Rangers at Mount Falcon, with Luke Kelly bagging four goals in a first-half blitz.
Oran Groarke opened the scoring early, before strikes from Eoghan Hughes and Kelly stretched the lead. By the half-hour mark, the contest was over and Celtic weren’t done.
Kelly’s hat-trick arrived inside seven minutes before he added a fifth just after the break.
Hughes claimed his second shortly after, while Jordan Loftus marked his return from injury with a goal off the bench.
JP Collins grabbed a late consolation for Conn Rangers, but it barely registered on a day where Celtic’s dominance was proven yet again.
They now sit five points clear at the summit with just three games remaining. On this evidence, it’s theirs to lose.
