Mayo's Bobby Douglas finishes runner-up in Connacht Poc Fada competition

Tooreen and Mayo hurler Bobby Douglas has finished runner-up in the Connacht Poc Fada senior men's competition.

The overall winner was Noel Fallon of Four Roads, Roscommon, and both he and Bobby will represent Connacht GAA and their counties at the All-Ireland finals in the Cooley Mountains, Co. Louth, on the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The Connacht finals were held in the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Bekan, Mayo.

The overall list of Connacht winners is as follows: senior hurling winner – Noel Fallon, Four Roads; senior hurling runner-up – Bobby Douglas, Tooreen; Under 16 hurling winner – Oran Stratford, Sarsfields; Under 16 hurling runner-up – Colm Fitzgerald, St. Dominic's; senior camogie winner – Maeve Muldoon, Killimor; senior camogie runner-up – Mia Whyte, St. Dominic’s; Under 16 camogie winner – Kayle Garrett, Turloughmore; Under 16 camogie runner-up – Roisin Coleman, Oranmore Maree.
