Design tenders published for Mayo county town regeneration projects

THERE'S welcome news on long-awaited regeneration projects in Mayo's county town.

The tender for a design team for the development of an innovation hub at the former Imperial Hotel and Castlebar Military Barracks reactivation project has been published.

The news was confirmed by Councillor Donna Sheridan who expressed her delight at this positive progress on the multi-million euro regeneration projects.

Tenders, she explained, are due back in five weeks.

Said Councillor Sheridan: “We can look look forward to seeing this development finally progressing.

“This is a transformational project which will rejuvenate Castlebar town centre.”

Castlebar Municipal District colleague Councillor Cyril Burke also welcomed that the projects are now progressing.
