A prime retail property at Main Street, Castlebar, where Prendergast's Mens and Boys Wear previously traded, has been placed in the property market.

It consists of 2,000 square feet of commercial space and has considerable potential in the heart of the town.

Auctioneer Brian Moran, who is handling the sale, outlined: "This is probably the finest retail unit to come on to the market in Castlebar in recent times and the property requires absolutely no expense.

"It is being sold as a going concern or with vacant possession."

On the same street, the former sweet shop (pictured), located beside Supermac's & Papa John's, has been sold by Kevin Beirne Auctioneers, leading to speculation that it will reopen as a business entity in the near future.
