East Mayo GAA clubs honouring memory of Stephen Jordan
KILTIMAGH and Moy Davitts GAA clubs are honouring the memory of the late Stephen Jordan from Bohola, who was a huge sports fan, especially GAA.
The Stephen Jordan Memorial Match will be played at Gilmartin Park in Kiltimagh on Friday, July 25, at 8 p.m., between Kiltimagh and Moy Davitts.
Stephen was a lifelong Moy Davitts supporter, but he had a huge affinity with Kiltimagh. He attended the local St. Louis Community School and would often be seen socialising in Kiltimagh in the company of his large circle of friends from Kiltimagh and Bohola.
The game will be the first match played on the new pitch at Kiltimagh GAA Club, with the official opening of the redeveloped Gilmartin Park to take place later in the year.
On the evening of the game there will be a voluntary gate collection for Mayo Cancer Support Association (Rock Rose House).
Later in the year Kiltimagh GAA executive members Mark Jennings and Mike Ryan will take part in the Brave the Drop abseil challenge in Croke Park. This is a fundraising initiative by Mayo Cancer Support Association and all support is appreciated.
All are welcome to next Friday's game in honour of Stephen, who was much loved in the community.
