Mayo county town mourns passing of 'lovely lady' Eileen O'Malley
The death has occurred of Eileen O’Malley (née Kinsella), Cherrington Place, Springfield, and formerly of McHale Road, Castlebar.
Eileen passed away peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar, surrounded by her heartbroken family.
A native of McHale Road, Eileen was aged 62 years.
In her youth she worked in Western Hats and later transferred to Hats of Ireland where she worked for a number of years and where she made many lifelong friends.
Eileen was well liked and respected by all who knew her and her passing has caused much sadness in the area.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Seamus, brothers John, Paddy, Paul and Christy, sisters Mary Hastings (Westport), Kathleen Groden (Murrisk, Westport) and Linda Loftus (Manulla, Castlebar), nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives and many friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents Jack and Bridie (née McNeely) Kinsella, McHale Road, Castlebar, her brothers Jim and Tony and sister Bridie Gibbons.
Fond tributes are being paid to the deceased on social media where she was described as 'a lovely lady'.
Eileen will repose at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, tomorrow (Monday) from 6.30 to 8.00 p.m.
Removal from Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10.30 a.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.00 a.m.
Afterwards, Eileen will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.
