Coffee morning in memory of Mayo woman will support Irish Cancer Society Night Nurse service
A fundraising coffee morning in aid of the Irish Cancer Society’s Night Nurse team will take place in Aughagower Community Centre on Saturday, August 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The coffee morning is being organised by the family of the late Geraldine Brett, who passed away five years ago after a brave battle with lung cancer.
In Geraldine’s final days her family were blessed to have the support of the Irish Cancer Society Night Nurses, a team of compassionate professionals who brought comfort, dignity and peace to their mum and to the family. The presence of the Night Nurses allowed the family to spend precious time with their mum at home, surrounded by love.
The Night Nurse service is a lifeline for families across Ireland, but it relies entirely on fundraising and donations to continue its incredible work.
To honour Geraldine Brett’s memory, and to give back to those who gave so much, the family are raising funds to support this vital service. Every euro raised will help ensure that other families facing cancer can receive the same care, compassion and support that they did.
On the day of the coffee morning there will also be a fundraising raffle with some amazing spot prizes.
Your kindness will help bring light to others in their darkest moments.
