Elyse crowned Queen of the Lakes
Elyse Brouwer has been crowned Queen of the Lakes 2025.
Ballinrobe Festival concluded on Sunday night in the Pavillion at Ballinrobe Racecourse, with the Queen of the Lakes pageant.
It was literally standing room only at the pavilion, with the venue packed with the families, and supporters, of the 12 contestants.
Judges on the night were Jenny Higgins, Den Moran and Sarah Corcoran, with Alan Murphy the MC.
Following the contest and after some deliberations by the judges, it was revealed by Alan Murphy that Elyse Brouwer was the winner of the Queen of the Lakes 2025, much to the delight of her family and supporters.
Afterwards, Elyse was delighted, and said that she wasn’t expecting to win.
She said: “I wasn’t even expecting it to be honest. I didn’t think that I was going to win.
"On stage I tried not to look at the audience and I knew that I was going to be the tenth person on stage. I was a bit nervous at first on stage, but then I settled down.
"I wasn’t expecting all the support I received on the night. In the weeks leading up to the show everybody was mentioning the Queen of the Lakes contest to me at work, and they gave me great support as well.”
The 12 Queen of the Lakes 2025 contestants and their sponsors were as follows: Leah Jordan (Flannery’s Bistro), Ella Feerick (Ballinrobe Veterinary Clinic), Briana O’Reilly (World Cup Lough Mask), Alanah Joyce (Dancing at the Crossroads), Ciara Keane (Mellotte's Bar), Gabriele Kiaulakyte (Fidelma's), Eva Gallager (Ballinrobe Racecourse), Lillie Golden (Supermacs), Aoibheann Mangan (ECO Powered Cabinets), Elyse Brouwer (Hollymount LGFA), Taylor Horan (Klassy Cuts Hair Salon) and Alannah Devereux (Moytura at the Riverside).
