Mayo's Seoda and Bofield Céilí Band to feature in Fleadh25 on TG4

The Fleadh Cheoil is back! The world’s largest festival of Irish music, song and dance will be held in Wexford town where, for eight days, the streets will be bustling with performers, music lovers and those competing at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.

To compete at the All-Ireland finals in Wexford, one must first qualify through their province. Over the course of a one-hour programme on TG4, presenters Doireann Ní Ghlacáin and Peadar Ó Goill will travel the highways and byways, taking viewers on a trip across the four provincial finals in Ballinasloe, Drogheda, Cork city and Warrenpoint to catch up with some of our top and emerging musical talent. Featured in the Connacht Fleadh are Mayo-based Bofield Céilí Band and Seoda.

TG4 is once again at the heart of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, bringing viewers and live audiences an exhilarating four nights of music, competition and celebration direct from Wexford town.

Fleadh25 promises the very best of Irish and international folk music, broadcast from the TG4 TV village from August 7 to 10 (Thursday to Sunday) at 9.30 p.m. nightly on TG4 and worldwide on www.TG4.ie.
