Fantastic turnout for a great day of golf at top Mayo club

Tolster's Golf Society enjoyed a great day at Cliff Liverpool’s President's Prize outing to Castlebar Golf Club recently.

The society would like to thank The Planning Partnership for sponsoring the day and also Noel Brody of Mayo Movie World and Darragh Loftus for sponsoring spot prizes.

There was a fantastic turnout on the day, despite mixed conditions weather wise. Castlebar Golf Club, as always, was in immaculate condition and the standard of scoring from golfers on the day emphasised that.

The winner was Paddy Grogan ahead of Adrian Gavin in second place, while Gerry Walsh placed third. Donal Coleman finished in fourth place, with David Brody fifth.

In the visitors' section, the winner was Shane Jennings and in second was Danny Bridge. Fintan Morrin won nearest the pin on the 10th hole and Jonathan Morley won the other nearest the pin contest on the 18th.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, as always, in Castlebar Golf Club. The next Tolster's Golf Society outing – Gerry Walsh's Captain's Day on August 7 – will also take place at Castlebar GC.
