Belcross Marine Tours launch new experiences along Mayo coast
BELCROSS Marine Tours has announced the launch of two new guided boat tours exploring the unspoiled and dramatic Erris coastline, departing from Ballyglass Pier near Belmullet.
These new offerings, the ‘Erris Head’ and ‘Broadhaven Stags & Cliffs’ tours, provide an exhilarating way to discover some of the most remote and awe-inspiring stretches of Ireland’s Atlantic coast.
Led by experienced local crew members, the tours reveal hidden headlands, sea stacks, and wildlife-rich waters that are rarely seen, even by locals.
One of the highlights includes Benwee Head, home to sea cliffs that soar to 255 metres - nearly 50 metres taller than the Cliffs of Moher. Along the route, passengers may spot dolphins, seals, guillemots, and even puffins, offering an unforgettable nature experience on the water.
Belcross Marine Tours is part of Belcross Enterprises Ltd., a family-run business based in Emlybeg South, near Belmullet. Founded in 1999, the company has evolved from a trusted provider of construction and marine services to a respected operator of coastal tours along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
Drawing on their deep local knowledge and maritime expertise, the Belcross team now invites passengers to experience the northwest coast of Mayo from an entirely new perspective.
Padraic Cowman, skipper with Belcross Marine Tours, shared: “There are people who’ve lived here their whole lives and have never seen these places. It’s a side of the coast that’s practically untouched.
“Even the wildlife surprises people. We had a passenger recently who didn’t know there were puffins in this part of the country.”
Tours depart from Ballyglass Pier, and booking is now open at www.belcrossmarinetours.ie or via email at info@belcrossmarinetours.ie.
