Weekend weather update for county Mayo

Sunny spells after early showers for the region tomorrow, according to the latest forecast.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 9

Rain and drizzle will clear to the south early tomorrow morning and the rest of the day will see some bright or sunny spells and well scattered showers.

The showers will become confined to coastal areas later in the day.

Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees in moderate westerly winds.

Mixed overall but becoming warmer and more humid for a time.

SATURDAY NIGHT:

Any showers in the northwest dying out, and it'll be mainly dry with clear spells and a few mist or fog patches forming in light southerly breezes.

Cloud increasing from the southwest later in the night, may bring a little drizzle to coastal parts of Munster by morning.

Lowest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees.
