ANTHONY BARRETT, GEESALA
Anthony (Tony) Barrett, Tallaghan Duff, Geesala.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Bridget Barrett.
Tony will be deeply missed by his sister Mary, brothers Mickey, Eamonn, and Martin, his brother-in-law Sean O’Connell, as well as his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and a wide circle of family and friends.
Tony will be reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
His remains will arrive at St. Colmcille’s Church, Geesala, at 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 1 p.m., followed by burial in Geesala Cemetery.
VAL CONROY, HOLLYMOUNT
Val Conroy, “Locodegi” Fortfield, Castlebar and formerly of Clooncan, Hollymount, Claremorris.
Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Sabina(née Keaveney, Ballintubber) Conroy and his brother Gerard.
Sadly missed and forever loved by his heartbroken wife, Christine (née Guilfoyle, Mayo Abbey), his daughter Louise Cooper and her husband Gerard (Manchester), his son Colin and his partner Leons (New York), his daughter Debra Malone and her husband Eddie (Keelogues, Islandeady), daughter Gillian and partner Stephen (Castlebar), cherished grandchildren Lisa, Nicole, Lee, Jack, Amanda, Brandon and Tiegan, great grandchildren Emily, Mia, Óisin, Odette, Harriett, Katie, Zoe and Robbie, sisters Teresa Sullivan (Leeds), Gaye Dempsey (Carlow), Carmel Egan (Clooncan), Anne Stewart (Sligo), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, much loved nephews and nieces; his adored godchildren Linda Dempsey (Carlow), Frankie Murphy (Fortfield), Robert Vahey (Robeen); cousins, relatives and many friends.
Val worked in the construction industry all his life. He had a great interest in all sport and in particular handball. He won 3 All Ireland Handball Championships with Mayo and Connaught. He was awarded the Mayo Sports Person of the Year by the "Western People" for his success in handball. But his heart was always at home with his beloved wife of 58 years to whom he was devoted. He took a great interest in the achievements of his children and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Val will repose at his home “Locodegi”, Fortfield, Castlebar on Tuesday, August 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Removal on Wednesday morning to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar for Funeral Mass at 11.30 a.m., with funeral afterwards to the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
ANN LAVELLE, CASTLEBAR
Ann Lavelle (née O’Malley), Moneen, Castlebar and formerly of Newport Road, Castlebar, Cloonkeen, and Cogaula, Westport.
Predeceased by her husband John and sister Mary B. Deeply regretted by her daughters Marie (Kildare), Chris Scriney (Castlebar), Susan (Castlebar) and Joanne (Australia), grandchildren David, Laura, Darragh, Ruth, Nathan, Leona and Eabha, great-grandson Levi, brother Pat, sister Tereasa, sons-in-law Paul, Brendan and John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Lying in repose at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlebar, on Wednesday from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by removal to the family home.
Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11.30 a.m. in The Church of The Holy Rosary, followed by burial in Castlebar New Cemetery.

Dympna O'Keeffe (née O’Neill), Spa Glen, Mallow and formerly of Ballyglass, Kiltimagh.
Predeceased by her sister Nora and her daughter-in-law Natasha.
Beloved wife of the late Jerry and dear mother of Paula, Patricia, Niamh, Colm and Tracy.

Beloved wife of James and loving mother to Mark; she will be missed by her loving husband, son, brothers James and Edward, sisters-in-law Síle, Mary, Marian and Dora, brothers-in-law Pat and John, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.
Marian will be reposing on Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Larry Massey Funeral Home, 100 Terenure Road North.
