Mayo company PanelDuct secures double award nominations

CASTLEBAR-BASED PanelDuct has been shortlisted for two prestigious awards this week: the Irish Steel Awards 2025 in the Mechanical Engineering category, and the Irish Construction Industry Awards 2025 in multiple categories.

The Irish Steel Awards nomination recognises PanelDuct’s work on Structurally Reinforced Modular HVAC Duct Plenums for a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Dublin. The project combined off-site manufacturing, precision engineering, and innovative structural design to meet strict quality, safety and performance standards.

In addition, PanelDuct has been nominated in the Irish Construction Industry Awards 2025 under the categories MMC Project of the Year, Engineering Project of the Year and BIM Initiative of the Year. These nominations highlight the company’s work on different data centres and pharmaceutical facilities across Ireland, showcasing innovation in modern methods of construction, engineering excellence, and advanced digital project delivery.

“This recognition across two major awards showcases the talent and dedication of our entire team,” said Paul Dunne, lead mechanical engineer at PanelDuct. “These projects demonstrate how smart engineering and teamwork can deliver high-quality, efficient solutions tailored to complex industry requirements.”

The Irish Steel Awards winners will be announced at the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise on October 17. The Irish Construction Industry Awards gala will take place at the Convention Centre in Dublin on October 10.
