Uisce Éireann repairs complete in north Mayo
Uisce Éireann crews have repaired a burst water main in Ballina and the water supply is returning to the customers affected.
Following repairs, it typically takes two to three hours for normal supply to restore to all customers affected by an unplanned outage.
However, it may take longer for normal supply to be restored to customers on higher ground or at the end of the network.
Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill thanked residents and businesses in the town for their patience while crews carried out the repair works following the burst at Convent Hill this morning.
“Unplanned outages are inconvenient for our customers and we thank them for supporting our crews while repairs were ongoing,” she stated.
Information is available on the 'Water Supply Updates' section on water.ie, where customers can also sign up to a free Uisce Éireann text service that provides real-time updates for local issues.
