Prior warning bathing notices lifted for two Mayo beaches
THE Prior Warning notices at Carrowniskey Beach and Shore Road, Belmullet, have been removed following satisfactory wastr quality results from monitoring carried out on August 11.
The Temporary Advice not to swim notice issued earlier this week for Carrowmore Beach in Louisburgh has been updated to the Temporary Bathing Prohibition/Do Not Swim, due to deterioration in water quality results.
A Bathing Prohibition/Do Not Swim is to issue for Mullaghroe Beach, Belmullet, due to deterioration in bathing water quality.
The notices will remain in place until results of follow up water quality testing are received in the coming days.
Further updates will be provided by Mayo County Council in due course.
The Do Not Swim notice now in place for Carrowmore Beach, Louisburgh, follows the results of bathing water sampling. Resampling has been organised. The notice will remain in place until water quality improves.
