Bathing restriction at west Mayo beach lifted

THE bathing prohibition notice at Carrowmore Beach, Louisburgh, has been lifted.

Water resample results from the beach were satisfactory, Mayo County Council has reported.

The Temporary Bathing Prohibition/Do Not Swim notice for Mullaghroe Beach in Belmullet remains in place until results of follow up water quality testing are received in the coming days.
