Ballinrobe Agricultural Show hosts launch event
THE 2025 Ballinrobe Agricultural Show was officially launched at a well-attended Flannery’s Bistro on Friday night.
The 73rd Ballinrobe Agricultural Show will take place at Ballinrobe Racecourse on Sunday, September 7.
Classes include horses, ponies, dressage, show-jumping, cattle, sheep, dogs, fowl, farm and garden, turf, flowers, cookery, home-craft, tug of war (for both ladies and gents), art and children’s section, photography, writing competition (the Maura Varley memorial short story competition for adults and children), and trade stands.
Its indoor section is spectacular and includes culinary delights, farm produce, handicrafts, flowers, and much more.
An added feature this year will be a jiving and waltzing competition, which is expected to be very popular.
The agricultural show is one of the highlights of the year in the south Mayo town and its surrounding areas and is always a great occasion to celebrate rural traditions.
Entries for all classes can now be submitted online through the show’s website here.
Updates nearer the date will be available by visiting the Ballinrobe Agricultural Show Facebook page.
