MACE launch their largest ever community initiative with €50,000 fund

MACE, one of Ireland’s leading retail convenience brands, has announced the launch of its biggest community initiative to date - MACE Community Grants, with a €50,000 fund dedicated to supporting local groups and clubs across Ireland.

The campaign, titled ‘The Pitch to Win’, launches on August 21, and aims to brighten communities nationwide by awarding €1,000 grants to 50 deserving groups.

Fronting the campaign is MACE brand ambassador and Irish rugby legend Johnny Sexton, who stars in a heart-warming video where three children pitch their ideas to improve their communities. The video captures the spirit of the initiative, which is focussed on empowering local voices and inspiring positive change.

Johnny Sexton said: “It’s incredible to see how passionate people are about making a difference in their communities. This campaign is all about giving local groups and clubs the chance to bring their ideas to life, and I’m proud to be part of it.”

The campaign will be supported by a series of social media videos, each highlighting one of the children’s entertaining pitches, and will be promoted in-store and via radio.

Keith Crawford, MACE sales director, added: “MACE has always been at the heart of local communities. With this €50,000 fund, we’re giving back in a meaningful way and encouraging our customers and staff to get involved and spread the word.”

From August 21 to September 10, community groups and clubs can enter by scanning the QR code in-store or visiting here.

Entrants simply need to provide their details, information about their group, and a short explanation (under 150 words) on why they deserve to win.
