Stage set for Mayo Women's Cup and Shield finals
A big weekend is coming up in the Mayo Women's League with the McHale Agri, Forest & Garden Mayo Women's Cup and Shield finals taking place on Saturday, August 23.
Both finals will see Premier League teams pitted against lower division sides, with Straide & Foxford United taking on Division 2's Crossmolina in the Mayo Shield at 3.30 p.m. and Castlebar Town facing Division 1 side Kiltimagh Knock United in the Mayo Cup at 6 p.m.
Umbro Park, Milebush, is host venue for both in the domestic season finale for the senior women's league.
In a busy week at the Under 19 grade, the latest round of the league was followed by the first round of the Hayes Mechanical & Engineering Under 19 Girls Cup.
Westport United, Ballyglass, Ballina Town, Swinford and Manulla all progressed in the cup.
Having suffered defeat, Castlebar Town, Ballyvary Blue Bombers, Killala, Conn Rangers and Snugboro now go compete for the Shield.
