Oasis fans will be interested in the fact the cottage was where the Gallagher brothers spent many happy childhood summers while visiting their grandmother Maggie Sweeney, enjoying the freedom of the countryside setting and soaking up the musical traditions of the locality.

Mrs. Sweeney died in September, 2000, a few weeks short of her 80th birthday.
