Broadband outage hits Mayo and west region

Westnet Broadband has confirmed that customers in parts of Mayo, Donegal, Sligo and Galway are experiencing service disruption due to an issue on the Open Eir network.

The company said the fault has been identified and technical teams are working to restore service as quickly as possible.

In a statement on social media, Westnet said there is no estimated restoration time available at present but updates will be provided as soon as further information is known.

The company thanked customers for their patience and understanding while the matter is being resolved.
