TF Royal Theatre set for record-breaking year as global stars headline Mayo stage

CASTLEBAR'S TF Royal Theatre is enjoying its biggest year yet, with more than 30 sold-out live shows expected to attract an estimated 200,000 visitors to the county town in 2025.

Topping the bill is none other than the world’s most popular comedian, Michael McIntyre, who will perform next month, with his "Magnificent" tour already completely sold out.

“We’ve been chasing Michael McIntyre for a long time,” said managing director Pat Jennings. “Everywhere he goes, he sells out immediately, so to bring him to Castlebar is a huge achievement.”

The TF Royal is also set to welcome Irish chart-toppers Picture This, who have confirmed two dates: Thursday, December 18, and Friday, December 19. Their shows are expected to be among the most sought-after tickets of the winter with tickets currently on sale.

It can also be revealed that the theatre’s hotly anticipated winter programme will be officially announced in the second week of September, promising further big-name acts and a continued boost to the local economy.

The TF Royal Theatre has long been regarded as Mayo’s largest indoor entertainment venue, but 2025 marks a new chapter in its ongoing growth, cementing its place on the map for major live performances in the west of Ireland.
