Public consultation event on south Mayo amenity trail

The Swinford - Claremorris Municipal District isholding a public consultation event this Friday (August 29), in Cong, regarding a potential amenity trail from the village of Cong to Lisloughrey Pier.

The proposed amenity trail will encourage users to visit key scenic and amenity areas within the village and create a more formal safe route from Cong village to Lisloughrey Pier.

The municipal district would like to issue a formal invite to the community and tourists alike to attend this pop-up consolation event and to give their views on the proposed trail.

The event will take place this Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., beside the Maureen O’Hara statue, opposite the tourist office.
