Way paved for construction of 87 new homes in Mayo county town
The way is cleared for the construction of a major housing estate within close proximity to Castlebar town centre
Mayo County Council has granted planning permission to developers, Sayvale 25. to proceed with an amended plan to build 87 new homes on a site at Snugboro.
The proposed amendment applies to 38 of the previously permitted two storey dwellings.
They are to be replaced with 42 two storey dwellings, consisting of eight three-bedroom houses semi-detached houses, 34 three-bedroom terraced houses), four two-bedroom own door apartments and four one-bedroom own door apartments - an overall total of 87 no. units in the development).
That's an increase from the original application for 79 dwellings on the site.
Planning permission has been granted subject to 21 conditions.
