New international protection centre planned for east Mayo

A planning application has been lodged to Mayo County County for residential accommodation in Knock for international protection applicants.

Luxor Xcelconnect Solutions Ltd. is seeking the go-ahead to change of use of an existing granny flat with overhead gymnasium for the project at Drum, Knock.

In other new proposals before the council, Linda Turner and Paul Kilkelly are seeking approval for three tourism accommodation units at St. Anthony’s, Distillery Road, Westport.

Islandeady Gun Club wants to carry out site works and install new levels at Kilbree Lower, Westport.

Joanna Laitenberger and Klaus Laitenberger are seeking permission for change of use of the existing public house to an educational facility at Tonragee East, Westport, and retain permission for a glasshouse and wall constructed in an organic garden.
