Mayo's Lisa Canny and Luail to bring new dance and live music performance to Linenhall

ON Thursday, October 2, Mayo musician Lisa Canny will return to her roots to perform REVERB with seven of Luail’s dance company, for what promises to be an electric dance-concert on stage at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar.

REVERB is a powerful collaboration between choreographer Sarah Golding and multi-instrumentalist Lisa Canny, and combines intense physicality with spellbinding vocals and composition, exploring how our actions echo through time and leave their mark.

This production sees Luail’s dancers perform to live music on stage, creating a world where movement and music are one.

Composer and musician Lisa Canny (BIIRD) leads the musicians and dancers on harp and vocals, becoming the ‘disco ball’ of the show, reflecting and refracting sound with dynamic effect.

With Canny’s signature mix of traditional and modern sounds driving the dancers, every beat tells a story, blending past and present in a raw, emotional experience.

It is a performance where rhythm lives, tradition breathes, and every moment and movement resonates.
