Mayo traffic disruption as works begin on bridge

Repair works have commenced this morning on Ham Bridge in Ballina following extensive damage sustained a number of weeks ago.

While the bridge remains open to vehicular traffic, the footpath on the damaged side has been closed for safety reasons.

In addition, there will be no vehicular access from Ridgepool Road onto the bridge while the works are ongoing.

Motorists are advised to expect some delays in the area as a result of the restrictions.
